You may use a handle, or your correct name.
You may also post anonymously, although this isn't encouraged

You need not enter your correct email address,
although any address you type will be presented as a
link so that other people can easily contact
you. To bypass this feature, just enter '@' as your email address, although
your correct email address will still be logged by the server for security reaso
ns.
- HTML tags are filtered out of chat messages. (If you don't know what thi
s means, don't worry!).
- If you enter the URL address of other web sites into a chat message, it
will be presented to other users as a
link for them to click on.

The chat pages are moderated. This means that posts which fall
outside the (very broad) acceptability will be removed. These include
harrassment, gratuitous profanity and defamation.

Where have last week's messages gone ?
Messages are periodically archived into a separate file, which
speeds up the loading of the pages.
I just posted a message but it didn't appear
The server has probably written your message to its internal hard disk, in
in which case other people see it straight away, but sometimes you yourself will
not see it until the next person has posted.

If you're trying to resend a message because you think it didn't go
through, it probably did (see above).
Someone posted something really obscene
Emailing the webmaster,
so it can be taken down is usually better than giving the person the satisfactio
n of a response.
I tried to email another chat person, but the mail was returned
The other person may have typed a nonsense email address, or they may have
just typed it wrong.
